Diesel engine water temperature should be lower
The water temperature requirements of diesel engines are clearly stipulated, but some drivers prefer to adjust the outlet water temperature very low, some are close to the lower limit of the outlet water temperature, and some are less than the lower limit. They believe that the water temperature is low, cavitation will not occur in the water pump, the cooling water (liquid) will not be interrupted, and there is an insurance coefficient in use. In fact, as long as the water temperature does not exceed 95°C, cavitation will not occur, and the cooling water (liquid) will not be interrupted. On the contrary, if the water temperature is too low, it is extremely harmful to the operation of the diesel engine. One is low temperature, deterioration of diesel combustion conditions in the cylinder, poor fuel atomization, longer combustion period after fire, and rough engine operation, which aggravates the damage of crankshaft bearings, piston rings and other parts, reduces power and reduces economy. Second, the water vapor after combustion is easy to condense on the cylinder wall, causing metal corrosion. Third, the diesel fuel that comes to burn may dilute the engine oil and make the lubrication worse. Fourth, the incomplete fuel combustion results in the formation of gum, which causes the piston ring to be stuck in the piston ring groove, the valve is stuck, and the pressure in the cylinder decreases when the compression ends. Fifth, the water temperature is too low, the oil temperature is also low, the oil becomes thicker, the fluidity becomes poor, the oil pump volume of the oil pump is small, and the oil supply of the generator set is insufficient, and the crankshaft bearing clearance becomes smaller and the lubrication is poor.
The speed of diesel generator set should be lower
Many operators do not want the diesel engine to work at the operating speed. They believe that a lower speed will not cause malfunction. In fact, a too low speed will also bring about some undesirable consequences: one is that a too low speed will reduce the output power of the diesel engine and reduce its power; the other is that a too low speed will cause the working speed of each component to decrease, which will deteriorate the performance of the components. Work performance, reduce the output pressure of the oil pump, etc.; the third is to reduce the reserve power of the diesel engine, so that the diesel engine that should be working normally is in a full load or overload working state; the fourth is that the speed is too low to cause the speed of the linkage mechanism to work. Decrease, it will reduce the mechanical performance of the work, such as reducing the water output of the pump, reducing the head of the pump, etc.
